Delete your account

For the Coffee Can Android app. This page works whether or not the app is still installed. The French version at coffee-can.org/delete is the one declared in Google Play; this translation is provided for convenience.

Your coffee log stays on your phone. This removes your account from our server and signs you out. Beans, brews, notes, cafés and photographs are stored on your device, not ours — deleting the account does not touch them, and cannot.

To remove the log itself, uninstall the app. If your phone backs itself up, that backup is governed by whoever runs it.

What gets deleted

Your Google account identifier — the pseudonymous sub claim, which is the only user identifier our server holds.
Usage counters and quota state.
Rate-limit records.

Erasure is immediate and permanent. Signing in again afterwards creates a new, empty account record.

What this cannot reach

It does not reach into any copy an AI provider may hold of a request you previously consented to send. See the privacy policy for who those providers are and how to stop future sending.

Confirm it's you

Sign in with the same Google account you used in the app. We ask because a deletion request has to come from the account it deletes — there is nothing else we could check it against.

If that doesn't work

Write to hello@coffee-can.org from the address on your Google account and say you want the account deleted. This route is slower and human-handled; the button above is the one to use where you can.
